or it'll make you have jelly-legs for a couple of days. I finally used my C25k app that I bought sometime last fall. YAY me! The program is set up to alternate between walking/jogging. For the first run, I felt like I did pretty well. I did at least finish, make it back home, and am still alive. That's better off than I thought I would be.
Some interesting information I think I may have known before the run is that the span of road that I used is nearly two miles. I think that I had heard that before, but once you run/walk it you realize that two miles isn't really all that far. So a nice surprise I got out of Thursday (besides the fact that I really survived the very first run!) is that I made the entire two miles. I loved that the program ended after 30 minutes, and I was only a very short distance (less than 2 minutes) away from my starting point. It was very nice to get back in my car and drive back home after a 30 minute walk/run. It was only after I got home and sat on the couch for an hour that I realized that I may have to sleep on the couch. It was the next day (Friday) before I realized that I may not be able to move or walk at all for the next 24 hours. It was Saturday when I realized that the hurt was slowly going away, but was at that time mostly centered in my lower legs. Sunday I barely hurt, and today, NO PAIN! Which means it must be time to run again, lol
I think it's a good thing that the first week is a run 3 times program, because if they wanted me to run every day, or every other I'd be in a lot of pain!
And now for the $64,000 question: Does she run like a girl?
ABSOLUTELY! But that's okay...at least I ran!
