My (Super)Hero

Jeff bought me a great gift for Christmas. As soon as I opened it, I knew I was going to be addicted again. I had my obsession fetish thing under control. What is it, you ask? Well...

It's a BIRD.....It's....A PLANE! NO! IT'S.....Superman!

Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was one of my absolute most favorite T.V. shows in the 1990's. (And isn't Dean Cain a fine bit of eye candy??!) Yeah, so I was only 11 when it aired...but man (of Steel! HA!) I was hooked. I think my whole family was, but you'd have to verify that with them. I know at one point, this fabulous show was aired at 7 pm on Sunday nights. I remember that I would either hurry and finish eating, or beg my mom to let me eat in the front room, straight in front of our T.V. This, my friends, was MY show.

I think Dean Cain as Clark/Superman may have been my first ever celebrity crush (and I still think he's something). Dean was so, so very hot. Even though I had no interest in being a journalist, I wanted to be Lois Lane just to have Clark/Superman. I didn't envy all the trouble Lois got into (although she does bring most of it on herself. But, she did have Superman to come save her all the time.

I am so glad that Jeff bought me this awesome gift for Christmas. It's one of the best things I've gotten. I just finished Season 1 last night...now I can't wait to start Season 2 today. Maybe I can get Season 3 for Valentines! (Or, maybe I shouldn't push my luck...I've been spending quite a bit of time with Superman lately...Jeff may end up hiding my gift :0)

Ahhhh, technology.....

I showed my husband Jeff my blog yesterday. He liked it, although he was not impressed with my description of our little Sassy-girl being a lot like him. But hey, I guess truth hurts sometimes? Or at least stings a little. (I kid, I kid, he KNOWS who she acts like, and I think he may even be proud!)

So, after the second time I told him my blog address, I went to bed. I was laying in bed playing with my phone, checking out Facebook updates and whatnot, when I get a text. I think my friends stop texting before 9. But here it was, nearly 9:45, I'm in bed, Princess is laying next to me, and my phone chimes. And then it chimes again. I open the message, and it's from Jeff......JEFF?! He's in the house! In the living room to be exact. Why is he texting me from inside the house? Because he forgot the blog address again. Since I didn't feel like getting back up, I just answered the text. So here we were texting each other from inside the house...really only down the hall. It's okay though...We're special like that.

Princess and Sassypants: A Tale of Two Sisters

I'm learning that what everyone has said about siblings being complete opposites may actually be true. My daughters are total polar opposites of each other.

My older darling girl Lizzie (or Princess, in this blog) is going to be 5 years old next month. Well, I should say that Princess is 5 going on 16.

This doll has attitude. One of her favorite things to say is "I get what I want when I want it". We're working on washing this misinformation from her mind. I believe that this gem of a phrase was born at her Nana's house, because that's just how it is at her Nana's.

My little Hannah (to be named SassyPants for blogging purposes) is 17 months old. And she thinks she's just as big as her sister, although I'm just about convinced she thinks she was never really a baby but just as big as her sister.

SassyPants is a real wild child. She gets her sister all riled up. She is a little bit dare devil, a little bit monster, a LOT of her dad. They are both quite cute though, if I do say so myself.

Where my Princess is sweet-natured little girl (for the most part), my mini Sassy is a full fledged ornery little stinker. My Princess is a super picky eater, but my Sassy will eat anything, anytime. My Princess throws an absolute fit when bedtime rolls around, but my Sass loves bedtime, as long as she has her "ganky and ginky" (blankey and binky for those who don't speak small child).

They're both great girls though. They love each other and are good friends. And I pray it stays that way, so hopefully I can stay (somewhat) sane through their teen years.
